Pete Wright is a professional drummer based in Norwich, UK.
He first picked up drumsticks aged 13 at high school and by 15 was teaching drums. Pete attended DrumTech in London aged 18 which gave him the drive and tools necessary to take up drumming professionally.
Following his time at DrumTech, Pete returned to Norfolk to co-open a music studio dedicated to teaching drums and sharing his passion for music. During this period Pete recorded and toured in a number of bands across the UK and Europe.
In 2011 Pete established his own studio in Norwich which allowed him to give more time and focus to his own playing. With his own space he quickly developed a reputation as a devoted and versatile musician, drummer and teacher. Many of Pete’s students have also gone on to forge successful musical careers.
In 2013 Pete joined Ducking Punches and since then the band has gone on to receive critical acclaim for both their studio outputs and live performances. Hailing from Norwich, the band have over 1,000 shows, both national and international, under their belt, including an extensive European tour in 2014 with Frank Turner as well as festival sets at Reading and Leeds, Download, Boomtown, Groezrock, FEST and 2000 Trees. They are about to embark on their third American tour.
Pete was also the holder of the Guinness World Record for longest solo drum marathon which he broke in 2002.
