About a year ago my good friend Liam from Norwich band Block Fort (who I played in for a while) asked me to record drums for his solo project 'Revello' It turned out just great so was super excited when he asked me back to record another one. It was all done a little last minute, I only heard the 4 songs the night before, but after a couple of hours figuring out some sections we were ready to set up at my studio. I had a couple of new 'toys' I wanted to play with. First of all I had picked up a rather lovely Natal Aluminium Snare and paired with an early 60's Premier Kit in Black Diamond Pearl I had just restored, I was super happy with how it all sounded.
Finishing touches are being done at the moment, I've even been asked to dust of my Accordion for one of the tracks. Release date should be approximately September time.
Super excited to say that the Ducking Punches PledgeMusic campaign has gone live.
Pledge not only allows fans to pre-order a new release, but also gives them access to exclusive merch, equipment, artwork and personalised items. We need to hit 100% to be successful and the money we recieve will go to recording and manufacturing costs. Also a portion of all the money raised will be donated to PAPYRUS and CALM. Two charities that are extremely close to our hearts and not only help prevent suicide in young people but assist those who suffer with their mental health.

May began in the best way possible with a roadtrip to play Groezrock Festival in Belgium. I have visited here a couple of times as a 'punter' but this was my first time playing and I was super excited to get out there. We were playing on Day 2, so the first day was spent watching some amazing bands, bumping into various friends and eating lots of vegan food from Just Like Your Mom. Highlights for me included Against Me!, Masked Intruder, Beach Slang, Gnarwolves and Knapsack. Infact, waking up on day 2 I had almost forgotten that we were playing. For the first time in a while, I felt a little nervous before playing, this was gonna be a pretty big deal for us and we weren't too sure if anyone would come out to watch us. As we were setting up the crowd continued to get bigger and looking out as we walked onstage I was humbled by the turnout and the reaction we got. Crowdsurfing, pyramids and plenty of singalongs, it was truly humbling. Thanks to everyone who voted for us to play and thanks to everyone at Groezrock for making us feel very welcome. Biggest thanks goes to everyone that made it out to see us.
