May/June 2013 Updates!

Block Fort - EP. Recording Session
In June my brand new band Block Fort went into my home studio to record our first EP. Consisting of members of Lets Go Nowhere and Damsel, we play a brand of nerdy pop-punk and wanted to get the first 3 songs we had written recorded straight away. Andrew Gunn yet again did a fantastic job and I used my new Gretsch Renown Maple kit for the first time, it really does sound amazing.
The lovely people at Aaahh!!! Real Records will be releasing the EP over the Summer Period.
We will be releasing a video to coincide with the release and are hoping to start gigging over Summer.

Bad Ideas Tours
Early May brought about a 4 day mini-tour with the excellent Fighting Ficton from Brighton, they are lovely guys and a really great band. Also the excellent Greg Rekus from Canada came on the road with us, it was a pleasure to spend some time with that guy.
Then in June we headed over to Europe for 14 days, playing shows in Belgium, Holland (on a balcony 20 stories up!) Germany and Italy. Europe never dissapoints and once more we were treated perfectly and met some of the greatest people. You can check out some pictures from the tour at http://www.stevenhaddock.co.uk/blog/2013/june/bad_ideas_european_tour_2013
Steve also found the time to come along and make us a little tour video. Check it out below.
