Bad Ideas European Tour
I have just got back from playing some shows with Bad Ideas around Europe. We had such a great tour, it still amazes me how they treat you over there; all the free food you can eat and beer you can drink, fantastic venues with great rigs (even at the most DIY of venues) great people and you even get paid decently! I wonder why we can't treat all bands like this in the UK? We played 9 shows in total in Switzerland, Italy, Germany (3 nights with our buddies Question The Mark from Wales) and Holland. The turnouts were solid, we sold a ton of merch and the new tunes went down really well. We even got to have a day off in Paris and another one in Bavaria, where I got to hang out with my good friends from Noopinion who I hadn't seen for a couple of years. Thanks to everyone who put us on, put us up or played with us.
We are now in rehearsals, demo-ing up 11 new tracks for the new album which we start recording with James Bragg at Pete Miles' studio on the 14th January! Super excited!
Congratualations to all of my pupils who took Rockschool exams in Period C of this year. It really has been fantastic seeing my pupils progress and grow as players over the last few months. All of that hard work in lessons and at home really did pay off with all of them receiving either Merits or Distinctions. It's especially great when you see a pupil take their first ever exam and overcome nerves to get a really great mark. At this point I would also like to thank Rockschool for their continued work and improvements in the area of modern music education. Anyone interested in taking Rockschool Grades, please contact me.
